  5. Looking into it, there are various weapon choices for the Iltis. The following show the Belgian(?) Para recce group. They mount an FN MAG in the front and one rearward facing one. Can someone tell me what an FN MAG is? And if anyone has an idea where I might be able to get my hands on a mount and deac or replica?
  6. I would be a lot happiers if you could do something about the price of petrol.... What about a "Then and Now" section for photos of people, places etc, similar to what ATB used to do.
  7. Good pics, I thought it said on the news they were cancelling due to the weather?
  8. It is a great piece of work. Thats one of the good things about google earth. You should be able to make out some trenches from G.E., though not on that particular one, it is handy for locating archaeology from the air, and its a lot cheaper than hiring an aircraft!
  9. Thats the first pic of a Morris Ive seen that hasnt been taken on the mainland. Any more pics/info Tony?
  10. Thats what I thought, surely not!
  11. Looks like a coconut or pineapple to me. Book on ebay at the moment, military signs and insignia.
  12. Yes, it had to happen! Can anyone tell me what gun/mount is mounted on the Iltis roll cage, and more importantly where can I can one. (So much more fashionable than a GMC with a 50 cal!)

  16. Saw a programme on TV recently where it was talking about the failed operation (The name escapes me now), that tried to land Churchills and commandos on a beach in France, the one where all the tanks bar one got bogged down on the beach. The TV presenter was talking to a local Frenchman who was standing at the top of this field explaining that the germans buried all the tanks there once they cleared them off the beach.
  17. You've probably seen it, I emailed the bloke yesterday asking what sort of price he was looking for it. 35,000 Euros.......:shake:

  20. That jeep is more complete than when I got mine....
  21. I knew someone would say a WOT....Are these published photos then Robert?
  22. Where in this country can you find a jeep in a stream, you just get shopping trolleys and pushbikes round our way.
  23. 3 photos from same set, 8th Army at Alamein, looks all the world to me that it is a Morris CS8 in all 3 pics, would anyone like to confirm or deny this?
  24. depends on how bad the perishing is, they would have to be fairly badly cracked to fail an MOT. Most of the time perished tyres would be an advise on your MOT Advise sheet. At the end of the day its the MOT testers discretion.
