    Not having a complete one in front of me I cant tell. But the wear on parts makes me think this has been going on for some time. This piece was at the bottom in the spring and would not lift out through the valve/guide hole so Im at a loss as how one would go back inshort of sliping it back up but then as it says in the book tap it in?

    This was all that was left so unless the rest went south down the inlet its all broken up long ago

    Ok at last a quiet day with good wether so I bit the bullet bodged the compresion tool and got the No2 inlet valve out here is whats left of the guide the inlet has a bit of a bur on one side but no sign of wear?now who has a spare guide or two lurking in the spares box?

    You sure know how to cheer a chap up. any idea of what size im looking for or will it depend on wear ect?

    I dont know if it was even ther when I got het but the playis about 1/4 in until I get the valve removed I wont know if it broke up or what and as the truck is out side the house how would i get it recut?

    Right I have found that im missing the valve guide from No 2 inlet the valve compresion tool wont fit over the manifold so question can I remove the valve any other way and if i could how do I remove any old bits and replace it without having to take the whole engine out?

    I went to look at one in Norfolk when I got there it was sat inthe car park from a distance it looked a bit of work was needed. Then when I got to look around the rear body was welded boiler plate and the drivers seat was a 3 piece suite chair tied to the floor needles to say I went home without it

    Morris 6pdr spg on the mk2 scout car chassis I dont think it went into production

    For the data plate have you checked the N/S chasis just by the fuel tank for the vehicle Number re builds often had the engine changed

    On a patrol in deepest Dunganon late 70s troopy spots the sherpa coming down the road now as we all know the only ones with landrovers or sherpers were HM Forces and it was the covert pick up van. So as it stops at the junction all jump in Troopy in the front he does the old double take spots the driver is old Mc d from a local farm. To his credit Troopy didnt bat an eye lid but shouted "ok boys this ones clean lets go and all bailed out see they are not all urban myths

    problem solved then you come and do all the building work for her I get Warbird to fix truck and we split the left overs Oh I see the problem Capital!
