With vehicles or just weapons????????

A friend is taking his Jeep to Ursel in Belgium for the show there, but is taking off his .30 cal as he isn't sure about regulations regarding taking weapons through customs and back again. Has anyone done this, and if so, what needed to be done to stay within the law. Thanks Steve

Orbs in my workshop, 2 minutes ago?????????? or just the dust I was sprinkling in front of the lens as the flash went off! I do believe there is a great deal about the universe we don't understand, and as I told Jack at Bolero, I've had a few interesting experiences at Thorpe Abbotts airfield. Orbs do seem real in some circumstances, especially those caught darting about on video, but many on still pictures will just be dust as I have just proved here. The dust particles were VERY fine dust from the bag on my disc sander, and when sprinkled in small quantities are invisible to the naked eye, but not to the flash. Steve

With a bit of luck, if we look up, we might see one large orange/yellow orb this weekend! Forgot to mention, if we did really land on the moon, why isn't there a McDonalds there now? Steve

Just to stop you all looking for aliens and conspiracies in the wrong place, it's 'Area 51' you want, not area 57! The original name for the base was/is 'Watertown AFB'. This was the starting point for the CIA's U-2, A-12 and SR-71 Blackbird spy missions. In 1955, 'Paradise Ranch' was adopted at the suggestion of "Kelly" Johnson, the Lockheed designer. Many pilots referred to it as 'The Ranch'. 'Area 51' was the designation of the land seizure in 1958. This was a 38,400 acre block of land around the base and dry lake bed. 'Dreamland' was the radio call sign for the base in the late 1960's and is often used by alien and UFO hunters. A few years ago, I worked at a college that was about to be knocked down and the site redeveloped into a new building and facilities to comply with modern building regulations and disabled access. The deputy Principle was describing the development to our department and was rather excited about the potential in the............. "Brand New Spanking College" :-o I think she got her words slightly mixed up! Steve

We packed up about 4pm, and as we drove off, I noticed the Staff Car was sitting rather low on its suspension from the weight of the charity buckets! At mid-day, it was the ladies turn to take the floor with a 1940's Fashion Show. Some of the models made some rather quick outfit changes in a nearby shop before dashing back out to the catwalk! The annual 1940's day, held in and around the Newgate Shopping Centre, had music, singers, and dancers in addition to the vehicles and re-enactors. The MVT(NE) also took the opportunity to raise money for the local Butterwick House Children's Hospice, and had several collecting buckets located around the area. http://www.sacarr.co.uk/mvtne/events_pics/07/bishop/bishop6.jpg[/img] The locals proved to be very generous, and while the money is yet to be counted, we expect to be able to give a healthy donation. The Day at Bishop Auckland started at 9:15 in slightly damp conditions. While the rest of the country was seeing heavy rain, the day at Bishop started with just drizzle. We met in the local supermarket car park with four Jeeps, a Dodge and Staff Car. From there we paraded through the high street, then drove around the block before parking back in the high street. No flooding up here in the North, actually, not much in the way of rain either. Had a grand day out with the vehicles today at Bishop Auckland town centre. Raised lots of money for charity too. Steve
