as with any other media event, every "Expert" in the world will be coming out of the wood-work to throw in there 2 cents.
pet peeve of mine... the news aint the news anymore:
- car hits stop sign
- car hits stop sign, driver possibly drunk
- car hits stop sign, driver possibly drunk, related to domestic disturbance
- car hits stop sign, driver possibly drunk, related to domestic disturbance, arguing over global warming,
- car hits stop sign, driver possibly drunk, related to domestic disturbance, arguing over global warming, car was a buick

is that the type of fitting you unwind a quarter turn, to fill and once full tighten it back up?
Aircraft struts used to use this type I mention

I found this site talking about the first Tabby http://arnhemjim.blogspot.my/2011/04/wwii-cutting-edge-night-vision.html quite interesting
here is your one http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?440-Tabby/page2

looks like they have a small forestry crew out there clearing trees and shrubs over the tunnel so the army can check for explosives. Seems a little odd, to have guys running around with tractors and chain-saws before they check for explosives, I don't think I would like to be on that crew
saw that on the news just before 'trying' to sleep http://www.news.com.au/world/breaking-news/workers-clear-nazi-gold-train-site/story-e6frfkui-1227529458775

A couple of interesting Jeep modifications on this page http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/category/military-vehicles/page/9/
I doubt you would get someone to restore one that way
The restoration/preserve debate has been going on for ages.

Mike
The photo looks identical to mine - there is one from 2011 from my web site
Actually it might be your photo...I may have sent it to the dealer saying I want these 2 panels. So long ago now I forgot about them. Was thinking when I come over in October I could tidy up the Acmat wiring. There is a power switch on Ebat but they don't ship outside France. Are the knobs metal?
-
Mike
The photo seems strangely familiar!
Did you buy it also?
I'm just looking for the switches to fit to the Acmat as some are the same, some are better that the chrome post mod toggle switches I have. I am chasing:
- 1 x power lever switch
- 1 x horn switch (will be used for wiper wash)
- plus another 3 or 4 horn or starter switches as for the knobs. I was hoping one of the switches was on off or 3 position for wipers fans etc. If I get the knobs I should be able to get the switches off something else

he seems to have a few http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Toutes-pieces-SUMB-Simca-Marmon-Unic-Boquet-Moteur-V8-Ford-Demarreur-Jeep-/161493001448?hash=item2599bba4e8
I bought the Simca switch panel from a dealer but it never got sent........ Couple of questions:
1. is there metal labels on the panel normally?
2. Is the start switch on/off or on off momentary?
3. Is the fan switch on off 2 position or 3?
4. Wiper, ditto
5. What is the T switch and is it on/off or on off momentary?
6. CH I guess is choke?

Or MAYBE/PErHAPS nothing better to do........small thing I know but there is a lot worst gramer aint there.....
After all this is an MV forum, not school time. I left there 43 years ago.......:undecided:
Aint is supposedly perfectly acceptable now
The one that bugs me is the 99% "me and Mike" instead of the correct "Mike and I"...... but can't win as seems to be the script in every movie now or celebrity interview
We could blame a lot of people but the bodies writing dictionaries add new rubbish every year e.g.
Whilst Whitsuntiding, listening to the latest Earworm, Jack sat Havey–cavey on his favourite chair, then experienced
Permadeath during a critical moment playing Age of War on his Mahoosive LCD screen.
In a moment of Crony capitalism he studied his Lookbook and was happy to see his Duck face posturing in front of his Crusader tank but was concerned that this Digital footprint would be forever

Had a look what my mate bought out here for 3000 quid... All I can say is I wish he bought a second one for the spare he needs for this one :wow:
looks like mechanically the steering box is gone, prop shaft and I'm told a hydraulic pump?? Didn't look to deep as was more interested in the silver Merc behind it, plus off travelling again in the morning. I'll have to dig on ebay for some manuals
