One of the fundamental items that I believe change during this era is braking systems changed from single circuit to dual circuit. My Acmat caused a bit of stress as the parts manual stated it had a single circuit but to be imported into the UK in 1982 it had to meet the then current rules of having dual circuit brakes.
That would be a good start to find out which euro year brake standard they want you to refer to.
If I would of had to convert mine to dual it would have cost a bomb, but I am thinking you could get later model bits from breakers yards, pretty much bolt in. But as you said it would be nice to have what you need to do in a list upfront than guess.
I am no means a UK DVLA expert, I have to use an engineer in Australia to approve mine to the Australian Design Rules, which are stricter than euro blurbs

have you searched the number online as that normally lists last tax date sorn etc?
-
I thought about buying one of these to tow behind the Acmat but my motorcycle I believe is 2.5m long,
I got offered an Acmat trailer for 3500eu, but I declined

A mate of mine in Turkey sent to me the link (as you cant link to Facebook)
-
I just saw a video from Turkey where the drivers on the equivalent to a M road all stopped at 11am for the minutes silence.
It got me thinking that a large proportion don't stop what they are doing anymore. I can recall the days when it was announced at work etc. But was there ever historically people stopping vehicles in the commonwealth countries?

yep nos is great.... for the Acmat there is precious few of it
I been going to the brake manufacturers but no info has come back from knotts or bendix

that website is really irritating

looks like they say this was a 39 model

Had a bit of garage time today - one more problem to add to the list: brake reservoir is now empty (was ok in March when I originally looked at the vehicle) and looks like left rear wheel cylinder is leaking. I probably need a Bendix L621171 - they are on E-Bay in France but not shipping to the UK
Does anyone have one on the shelf for sale before I call RR Services ?
I found another part number for these today but was impossible to find anyway. I see on ebay France like you said for 100 euro a pop

I see my previous link is temperamental :embarrassed:
hopefully this will link correctly
http://tractors.wikia.com/wiki/CSJ_655 it is a RAF one

Never mind all that - I wonder if we can get it running........................................
Now don't start giving me ideas

The seats should be a hell of a lot easier to fit as they are original Acmat. Main issue is it generally takes A long time to get bits. I need some new handbrake cables and some other new bits but the negotiations have just started. Whats up with the Sumb?
