Yep. My brother and me where in his Jeep. We were painting it and it was partly dismantled, no nr. plates and such. He just gave us a friendly warning when we explained we were hard at work at it and took a drive to relax a little. He could have given us a shedload of fines but he was very understanding!

We try to find the same spot if possible. We were next to sirhc, near Lee and als ner Ashley. We arrive monday and reserve a spot as the Dutch British Military Vehicle Trust so our Brit friends who arrive later also have some room.

I heard the Brit navy was to get rid of 19 of its 44 ships? They commented the Dutch Navy would be larger then! Is this true?

Mine is because I like the music from the musician called Enigma. Also I am an Enigma to lots of people. Why not my own name? I also like a bit of anonimity. Don't like my name to appear all over the net for everyone to Google.

Wim Vaders, a Dutch vetaran who was a soldier in 1940 and fled to England to join the Princess Irene Brigade has passed on. We knew him for a while and I wanted to congratulate him for his birthday. Because his Tel nr. was disconnected I feared he might have passed so I called the retirement home whre he lived. He died 28 July last year, we didn't know. He was 89 years old and still attended commemorations. We'll miss not seeing him at meetings and such. Wim my friend, Rest in peace. [attachment deleted by admin]

I agree caution is paramount. In the 80's we got what we called "strijkers". They didn't have a fuse but a matchlike head. They were very powerful, I never wanted them because I couldn't see when they would go off. And if they exploded in your hands you had a BIG problem. the normal firecrackers then numbed your fingers/hurt like hell but you kept them... The ones I used I don't throw or keep in my hands. Furthermore I wear earplugs. But it is FUN to launch a liner!!!!
