if you crawl under the front you will find 2 brass bungs that have a 5/8 th (i think could be 9/16) alan key socket remove them and you can acsess engine and gearbox oil oil drains and then nearer the front is either a oval plate or another bung which gives accsess to steering box oil .beware that your hull will more as likely be full of water/oil mix so keep your head out the way when you open the bungs . antifreeze can be drained via a brass tap which can be found thru front steering box hatch, down near drivers side engine mount.
hydrolic fan oil is a pack out job . to be honest if you are stripping for spares remove the pack anyway to remove starter and other useful parts and then drain fluids .
hope this helps
Iain
p.s i have assumed you have a k60 multifuel pack !!!

Is that the Lee Enfield No.1 Mk4 as in .22" or the No.4 Mk1 in .303"?
I shot the .303 mk 4 rifle and 303 bren when i was in the army cadets around 1989/90 but they were just starting to bring in the cadet 5.56 semi auto version of the sa80 (not a good weapon i broke one ).i wonder when the ACF stopped using the 303 ?

anyone know where to get these from...need one and a spare for my 432...
marcus glen i would imagine if they are the same as 432 /433 . the pump motor should be the same either way. he does a service exchange cant remember price.

Happy xmas everybody having got the usual festivities and gluttonous eating and drinking done i have finally got round to updating this threrad .
We put the sherman build on hold at the end of october so we could concentrate on getting the working vehicles we use for the customers thru the workshop 15 FV432's serviced repainted ,ferret ,2 x bedfords and a hagglund bv206 all sorted in record time ,we managed to get some more work on the sherman in december .
The suspension is in reasonable order, bearings were good but springs, seals and anything rubber was in a bad way
nitro hard at it with the needle gun
the state of the bearings and internal sleaves after 30 yrs on a molotov cocktail range
now for a bit of paint
New old stock springs fitted at this stage
n.o.s tyres pressed on bit of a game with that the company we used made a hash of the job on the first one but got it sorted on the rest . also new seal sorced from a firm in leicester bearings cleaned and everything refittedto wheels .
thanks for looking only another 5 to go .

linkage problem for sure as andy says.
Should be a 15 min fix remove piano covers , disonnect gear selector rod at g/box end. make sure you get all the gears by hand, adjust rod for reverse with engine off, check, re connect ,re panel off you go ..
some times you may have to remove selector rod completely and use a suitable fixed point to straighten bend etc i find a good unf KNEE works to avoid cables

Hi Texaspete,
I have 2 manuals in english as pdf scans. I can email them to you. I wouldn't mind a look at your russian manuals if any are different to my english versions
The launcher is all electric. The turret is off mine at the moment but I want to get it back on and running as it looks cool when operating.
I have the service manual for the 9p148, in russian and some nice training posters, so it shouldn't be too hard to get going again.
The previous owner took my vehicle into the Thames, but he had a bit of a problem when moving the red lever the wrong way! The sea cock is hydraulic and moving the red lever on way closes it, the other way opens it!
I have yet to do any long runs on the road, only laps around the back garden so far. Never seen the engine get more than warm with the louvers down. The louver motor is stuffed on mine and there's no manual override, so I'm trying to track down a replacement. I suspect I'll end up making up a new motor from bits and bobs as spares seem impossible to get.
How's your fuel pump doing? Mine leaked like a leaky thing with a hole in it when I got it. I had to drive it off the loader with fuel dripping out and no air brakes, in the snow, with only the truck driver to help, negotiate a main road and then a tight corner up into the drive. It was quite a laugh!
I'm down in Dorset near the tank musem if you're ever down this way, let me know.
I can email the manuals, but they are about 300mb.
Cheers.
hi we own a brdm 2 chemical reconasence great bit of kit a bit of a squeeze to work on . so far we have had a prob with the fuel lift pump and also the steering ram seal but they were easy fixes once i got my self twisted and bent into the correct position usually head down backside up . those manuals would be good if i could beg/blag a copy if you dont mind .
many thanks
