  6. Try joining this site-They have all the manuals you'll need for this era of gear. http://www.royalsignals.org.uk/
  7. I was quiet relived to see that the military use of a sheep, was as a hatstand-it was with some trepidation that I searched an Australian site for a picture involving sheep and sailors
  8. I sort of get this problem, but I just pause the clip and do something else for a few minutes and let it build up a bit of a buffer. They play fine after that :computerterror:
  9. I can get to Beltring for about the same (£100-150) in a series 3 FFR with a radio repair trailer and a full load (radios, 12 metre scam mast, tents, cooking gear etc etc). You must have a lead foot (and a hole in your fuel tank)

  15. Is the title of the picture relevant (for once :-D)
  16. I thought so-are they grave stones, or more temporary markers? The bases seem a bit thin (3") to be permanent :dunno:
  17. Check out the autotrader for an idea ( http://www.autotrader.co.UK/ ) they start at a couple of hounded for a ropey one, to £10000 for a complete rebuild. The average seem's to be about £1500. It's probably best to get any older vehicle checked out by somebody who is familiar with them as well (Yes I've got a degree in stating the obvious :-D)
  18. They look a bit like stone columns or markers to me for some reason :dunno:
  19. I got some from this place http://www.tools-supplies.co.uk/ And do a search for bulbs I don't know how the prices compare, but the postage is included :-o
  20. Ass Yes Bullock No-I'd guess they were used for pulling carts Camel (single humped) yes Camel (double humped) yes I'm sure I've seen quiet a few camel photo's, and I'm don't think the forces would be humpist. Cat (Felix domesticus) I like cat's, so I know very well they would either run the other way, or eat any food you wanted them to carry Dog, GS no Dog, RE Am I too cruel? but would dogs with bombs on them be trained to run to enemy tanks(and the dog could then be detonated by remote control) Donkey yes Elephant yes Emu no Homunculus Yes-if you can define the bantam regiments in WW1 as homunculus. 21. I can't resist :-D adding that by that theory, when the light's were switched off (infinite resistance) You would also have infinite current-you might need to add some more batteries unless you can leave your light's on all the time! :dunno:
  22. It sounds like your next article need's to be on basic electrical theory -anything electrical seem's to be a black art to most people
