  3. Hi malc sounds like an interesting project .Have you got drawings or a mate with one you can measure up? And what scale will it be?
  4. Biggest problem is alignment on op1 make sure end is square and op1 punch bang on centre, on some cheap tools the centre alignment pin is too small. The moprod tool is brill but only made in 3/16" .I use an ancient sykes tool perfect every time.

  8. torch on felt is really good melt the underside with blowtorch glues it down and joins sections
  9. yeah proper size especially with rusty nuts .yes halfords stuff very good comparable with the best i would say.

  11. I would be up for it ,and i was in sports six club many years ago and went out to help a guy with a herald ,towed him to a garage but his anti roll bar wasnt as secure as it should have been oops. But yeah wouldnt want my info for all to see just members.

I have a copy of in national service by pat ware and pages 13 to 29 inclusive are missing and 29 to 44 are duplicated(printing error) bought from a trader at a show (unable to contact) tried contacting publisher again but contact info must have changed.

     

    Do you have a pdf or scan of these pages or know how to contact the publisher?

  17. Here is a question for you. What sensible mods can be done to the typical mv to improve economy and what priority should they be in? for example :- fitting electric fan for radiator. Different airfilter etc :cool2:
  18. is it leaking fluid around the ram? does the valve feel as if its closing properly ? if its a well known make you may be able to get parts but if not it will be easier to buy a new one. I repaired one once and it cost me £20 for the ram seal. In mine i use aws32 hydraulic oil but always go with what manufacturer recommends and dont take risks.:stop:
  19. America has some great shops for tools virtually any decent size supermarket has a fantastic tool section. Tig welders are good if you can use them im struggling a bit with mine but will persevere(i find alloy easy but rubbish with steel) Like the torkgrip link.
