  1. Haha!! YAY!! But seriously, quite keen to see more of that thing, beautiful tanks. Majestic.
  2. I have never seen the scammel explorer. The museum has a big problem. It's too small. Only about 5 or so vehicles are actually on display, with another 4 or so gate guardians. The vast percentage of vehicles are in storage sheds, which can only be seen on special request. I would quite like to get my uncles Scammel going this year, nice trucks.
  3. Tou che'. When you starting that cromwell? Kiwi432: Did you get spare track, sprocket's etc with your machine? I have noticed that some of the 432's and Abotts have been coming in without any spares. It's an Apc, wouldn't it make sense (although be expensive) to pack it with spare parts?
  4. The amy auctioned the scorpions and an acquaintance of my fathers supposedly won the tender for them. Something went topsy turvy and they were sold to a British dealer. There is apparently two scorpions at the museum in waiouru, although I have only seen one myself. The ferrets were sold off and there is about six of them that we know of floating around the country. Two in the National Army Museum (Waiouru) and four or more in various parts of New Zealand. There is also a couple of British ferrets that have been brought in by the public as they could not get NZ ones, the same goes for the scorpions. Also, when we were told that we were not allowed to purchase any m113 APC's or M548's etc (that were subsequently scrapped!!!) a few members of our club imported FV432's as an alternative.
  5. You should do stand up comedy.....
  6. Just read this entire thread from start to finish.:bow::bow::bow::bow:
  7. Look, we won ww2 for you so I think we'll just leave it at that.:readpaper:
  8. Honestly...The cheek of it...I ought to come over there just to give you a good spanking :box:
  9. All in all......LETS MOVE TO ENGLAND BOYS!! Cheap vehicle registration costs, you find easy restoration projects (that the poms seem to whinge about being hard:coffee:) and theres PARTS GALORE!! Only thing wrong is there's english people there...
  10. A fellow member of the NZMVCC I see! Where abouts in New Zealand are you? We are in the Manawatu.
  11. The thing is with most military vehicles is that there is no "right" colour. Alot of people get hung up about "originality". In the field, the vehicles would've been repainted with what was at hand, the wouldn't have cared about what colour it was. I say paint it whatever colour you like, it's your vehicle after all.:yay::-D
  12. I would like some drawings or pictures to which I can scale up to build a replica of one of these. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction? Thanks and Merry Christmas
  13. I personally would go for white on the inside. I believe it to make the interiors of vehicles look lighter and cleaner than the silver. Exterior I would keep it the colour it is, sure does look tasty in that colour. I envy you so very much!!!!
  14. Beaverette! :rofl:Certainly ugliest! It looks like the designers have gone "Righto chaps, we've got this truck. How are we going to make it look as silly as we can?" "Oh, I know sir, lets bolt heaps of plate to it" "Good thought. Lets crack on and do that"
  15. Cr*p to work on but one of the most fun vehicles I have ever driven!
  16. Do we have a "best british vehicle" thread? :yay: :coffee:Call it "Best of a bad bunch" maybe?
  17. Got to be the comet. You just look at it and go "Now that's a tank".
  18. Wait. No. Can I change my reply? Universal carriers! Ever changed a water pump on one of these things? I did the one on my Dad's mates 3" Mortar carrier. I actually had to stand on my head to get the pipe on and bolts in! NOT FUN. But they are fun to drive. Took it for a spin down the road. EVERYONE stopped and stared. No pommy vehicle is completely awful. Just when they break down. Again.:argh: I'd rather own a pommy lorry than a jeep:yay:. Everyone has a jeep.:coffee:
  19. Guy Ant. Excruitiatingly slooooooowwwww......
  20. All I know is that steel track is more fun on the road!! Get a turn wrong and your going for a nice slide, and you can't just put on a bit of opposite lock to control it either! Only remedy is to plant the gas pedal to straighten up. :rofl:You should always drive to the level of experience you have. :coffee:
  21. This really is a work of art. I am astonished at the level of workmanship in this machine. Utterly stunning. Were these steered by use of levers? What sort of speed can they travel at?
  22. MORE PHOTOS PLEASE!!! I am very keen to see more of this absolutely stunning machine. Do you have plans or drawings to build it? or did you build it from and original vehicle?
  23. The grenade or bomb can be attributed to engineers or artillery, the W could be wireless troop?
