  9. Hi Mike. I can't remember off hand if the 8x6 foden replaced the 6x6 wide track, but the Dana axle can have a different rating depending on which type of hubs are fitted. The standard hubs are 1S but if you fit X1 hubs you get a better load rating. BUT the 6x6 with the 24r20.5 xs tyres on was 3m wide which gave it a much better tilt angle. but it was over normal road width.:-( Hope this is of some help. 10. Hi stal108. If my memory is correct the tyres are Michelin 24 r 20.5 XS. but you would need to modifi the cab wings, front bumpers, cab steeps, rear cab wings, and a higher rated pump. And it makes it 3m wide. Hope this helps. Clive .............................. protruckservices.com

  22. Hi. The system I have fitted on my mobile workshop van is 12 or 24 volt. It has microphone, and day & night vision. I bought it off flea bay i think for £60. Best thing l've bought for the van and so easy to use with hocking up on to a trailer. I forgot to say that it can be used for Left or right hand drive vehicles by changing a switch on the screen. 23. Hi gritineye. Had the pleasure of building both the Commanders and The Unipower HET. For me the decision to not buy British was made by some porcupine in a suit, that didn't know on end of a truck from the other. No 10 saying we need to save money. My real opinion is not printable on this forum. Clive ............................... protruckservices.com
  24. Hi Grumpy. Found this Scammell Landtrain in the photos i have. This was one of the test and evaluation vehicles we had on trials for months.I Believe that we built some for the Faulklands for building the new Airport back in the early 80's http://www.protruckservices.com/S24%206x6%20Drops/scan00076.jpg Clive ................................... protruckservices.com
  25. No problem mate. May as well use the old scammell knowledge some were. Glad to be of help. We produced some scammells with the landtrain front end and the 30 t rear bogie. I have some photos but not sure how great they are as It's a long time ago and they were scanned from the original photos, so they may not be that good. I'll have a look. Best Regards Clive ................................ protruckservices.com
