  1. I had a trip to Magnolia near Houston a couple of weeks ago. Had an enjoyable time and the people were real friendly, especially the constables. Saw a few vehicles while out one day. A balmy 75º during the day. Beats that snow you had here.:-D
  2. I spotted this one in Texas a couple of weeks ago.
  3. I've been on a 2 day week for the past few months, and it's not likely to get any better. All the plans I had are down the pan at the moment. Time for a change soon I think.
  4. I think I can feel my feet now. To top it off it rained.
  5. That's the one Patton rides around in. I overtook this on the way down there, I got a blast from the horns that frightened the life out of me. Noisy bugger.
  6. Thanks! I've got a picture in my mind now that's got no business being in there.
  7. A good day. Shame about the stinking attitude of some people. Well done Lee for collecting the most.:-D
  8. I've heard they're all gone now.
  9. Great Stuff Mark.: Thanks for that. Ordered a copy of the records. Just got to wait and see what's in it now.
  10. I got this via E-Bay, I think the seller lived in surrey. I had to meet him in a car park to pick up the tent. I only have a local phone book. No Tweney's in there.
  11. I bought a WWII US pup tent a couple of years ago. When I picked it up from the seller it was in that bag. He said it was his dad's and had been in the shed for years. He was just clearing out, I presume his dad had died. I told him to let me know if he found anything else but I never heard from him again. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. Probably keep it unless it's going to make me rich.:-D Brilliant information Shakey, all I was expecting was someone to say "it's British" or something.
  12. Fantastic, Thanks very much.
  13. Anybody know anything about this bag. British? Navy? Army? etc Unfortunately the bottom has rotted away. There's a flap in the top. Any info?
  14. Gurkhas win there test case for the right to stay. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7644441.stm It's a disgrace they had to go to court for this. :argh:
  15. I knew the BBC were filming there in the evening but didn't know what it was for. Lucky Burley spotted it. Dad's army references do get a bit long in the tooth, but it's better than nothing I suppose.
  16. I, along with everyone else had a great weekend. The venue is great, and there's so much going on around the site. Met up with plenty of people and great weather as well. I took a load of pics and you've seen most from the others posted but here's a few. Had a tour of the dockyard on Marks Ward on Saturday.: The Blitz ball Saturday night was great, I took a 74 year old along and he said he hasn't had a night out as good as that for about 30 years. Also saw Heliops working the magic on the dance floor.:-D Mrs Weazle came and said hello and I didn't have a clue who she was. :embarrassed: Good disguise. Didn't they look smart though. I'm not big on the dressing up usually but I do make a bit of an effort for this one and I think the majority do as well, and in my opinion it's better for it. The amount of people on the vehicle parade route was amazing. Excellent and I can't wait till next year.
  17. One of those greedy weekend workers eh. :nono: It's a date. :-\
