how about a vehicle owners survey. for example it would show a list of what we all have at our disposal. so, landrover Defenders x 40 humber pigs x15 cvrt stallions x1 a total of what we all have together, and even better if we could link user names to each, that way you can make new friends with similar vehicle owners and get help/ideas etc just a though

I think a must with any Armour is storage,see if you can hire a small unit/barn etc.. cuts out the vandalism issue, as well as giving you space to work in your own time. Thats why I sold mine,could not get GOOD storage and it was effecting the vehicle and the way I work on it.. Check your local friday-ad/newpaper, that way its out the way and the F****S cant vandalise it

I'm not sure if we mean the same barn,do you have a link on streetmap you could send? On the head itself there are a few odd power bunkers. But the main power bunker can be located on the Eastbourne road. Head west towards Seaford,pass over the mini bridge and the pub at Cuckmere Haven, then as you come up the hill keep an eye on the hedge line to your nearside. There is a brief gap of brickwork,this is the blast wall of the Power room. It was not locked but is gated,I have visited twice but not in recent years. Its a buried Nissan hut in 3 rooms, with concrete blast walls and reinforce. Also had a weird duvet kind of substance on the roof with mesh wire over it! never have worked out quite what that was for, sound deadening perhaps? I shall get the photos out of my Hard disk tomorrow as its a right 'alladins'cave! thats the location of the Power station Bunker, If anyone has a look please let me know if its open, A word of warning,only enter Via the Gate! not the side or hole in the roof that have bars on now(council addition) as you will get stuck/hurt

It was indeed a Pillbox, its shown on the Defence maps and has been partly buried by flooding on the plains behind. It seems to be a one man pillbox with a single loop hole. hope the pictures help.. Idea of the defences interior of the hidden pillbox I was going to further explore the pillboxes to the West of the river by I ran low on time. Also wanted to visit the Generator bunker which powered the mock Newhaven light system they used over the flood plains to draw fire from German bombers. Rather than Bombing the real thing. I remember an early memory of a summer holiday afternoon out. It was at the beach. Sun,cliffs and the usual mid 1980's holiday makers. It was hot and the ice creams had been handed out. I was with my Brother and exploring,I must have been quite young as I was smaller than him.( he is about 5.7 the short arse and im 6'2 now!) On this trip I remember being lifted into a Gun emplacement but could not get to the second floor but my Brother could! It was a square structure with two floors and an open front,with a few rooms. This is where the argument came in! I asked my Mother of the memory and my memory location of Newhaven. She said no such thing happened and we never went there with my Brother. Also the evidence of the existance of this structure seems unlisted in every field I have explored from archive to museum. Then! I stumbled across this picture by complete accident! Its Newhaven! 1970-80's (not my family) but it proves the location in my earliest memory is indeed not fantasy and make believe! but reality! It was a seachlight bunker built in the 1940's and most probably demolished in the 80's My mother now agrees she remembers the structure! but my Brother does not remember! but he is getting on a bit and his memory, like his hair is receding hope you enjoy the before and after picture..

I bought one around 2 years ago of exactly the same design,I put new seals in to be sure.. it was exactly the same, bleed nipple and slightly taller as this one is. It ran perfect on the Pig. Well I say perfect it moved the leaking issues all over the rest of the braking system:)

I have saved most of my old hard drives in the past. Seems odd it will not reconise it when placed in another machine. It could be worth a try placing it inside an external hardrive case. See if it wil reconise it as an external drive Via USB. Mine died a while back and I had a similar problem, turned out to be a motherboard issue,but it reconised the drive in an external case and all could be recovered, its still in use now as an external back up drive.

Thanks for the replies, I have offered this up on another landrover forum but to be honest I trust the knowledge on here above. I do offroad but not to the level where I would need anything uprated.So lets hope the new Trans box helps then! I shall keep the old one so if its worse ill switch it back! thank you everyone:)

There are two types of LT77 Lt77 was fitted to all 110/90s Lt77 was fitted to the 200tdi, but only difference is slight higher top gear and syncromesh so it should not make a difference.. I shall have to try being a bit heavier footed and get a friend to follow to make sure its not the speedo thats out! If not i;ll get MTV to pimp my TUM

I have been trying to work a few issues out. i have a 200tdi defender engine and a Lt77 gearbox, the axles are the original military ones.. here is the problem, I can only go 50-60mph. Other owners of the same engine state they can get 80mph with out to much hassle,but mine starts sounding like shuttle re entry at anything over 50mph! I have the transfer box ratio of 1:410 so its a standard defender one. I intend to upgrade to a 1:211 discovery one to upgrade the top end.. But it still seems odd that the top speed seeme limited. I have not tried to get the top end speed but with the noise i get at 50 I do not think its a good idea. I do not want to wreck my engine. Does any one have any ideas where my missing 20mph is? or what could be a miss? I do not want to overgear the engine by adding a new transfer box if there is a problem already I need to address So is it 1. Salisbury Axle ratios effecting gearing? 2. Transfer box 3. Gear box Does any one else have the same set up and can they advise? PS im not a speed demon, I just get frustrated holding things up. Getting close to the speed limit would be nice

The old army sizing did not have Leg/seat/waist... this came in with the 90 pattern gear.. older stuff was a approx size grading, Ie 1-2-3-4 not made to order.. so Its guess work untill you know.. how big do you need a have a few 68's for sale... Period for a Ferret, Ie 1970-85ish would be 68 or the early 80's jacket and lightweights(green trousers) putties and some nice comfortable DMS boots.. rare to see 68 trousers at all really... a wooly and a ironed Shirt... KF shirt if your brave... and no tram lines in your lightweights!!! I was trained in 95 jacket! and lightweights! that was in 2000! We had 95 trousers(ripstop! why we had those i dont know) but parade was lightweights

More people each year should see better profits and better facilites. Ihave never paid to enter WP show, As I usually full under brackets to not warrent entry fees. But I feel the rules are bent and ignored to suit the big players in the MV ownership circle, people in/on vehicles drunk/underage is NOT acceptable. Quick enough to jump on people selling things they should be not etc(certain stalls) but ignore kids on bikes/cars/drunks Its a SO CALLED public highway covered area.. yeah right,its a free for all do what you like. I only attended this year for a day, and my attendance will also be less year to year, as I do not want to stay with such ****e showers/toilets & idiots driving without lights and drunk with vehicles covered in people which do not have the seats to cope! This year Bunker bash is my big visit list, WP is a day visit only.. and I wont be paying! thats for sure... lining a certain persons pockets to buy another New Landrover Discovery with private plate.. its all about money, its not about the MV's anymore I would rather attend a show with people who listen and care! as well as camp there themselves than line the pockets of the rich

That is indeed Uncle Clivs garden, I have been there:) That Pig is a mk1 pig that was sold to a certain Forum member, It is the same spec as my old one, wits rare because of the same reason mine was... something to do with interior in the rear.. am I correct?

Its the same config fv1612 mk1 (or 2,depending how you look at it) as mine was.. but the prefix MS I can not place? other than the barracade remover looking "new" I can see nothing odd? enlighten us Uncle Cliv:)
