I am being plauged by battery clamps working loose. So far I've tried things like pusing aluminium cake base into the gap, and bits of bean tin. Can anyone suggest a reliable method of solving this?

Hope someone out there can help. I'm currently restoring a mk11 chieftain and I'm in need of a psu and can't find one anywhere. does anyone know if i can remove one from any other vehicle or does it have to come from a chieftain? also i have the togs system fitted but can't seem to figure out how the front door opens to reveal the lens. if someone knows where the switch is hiding as i can't seem to figure it out and need to find out if the togs housing is empty or if the togs kit is still inside the housing thats on the side of the turret.

I have been trying to work a few issues out. i have a 200tdi defender engine and a Lt77 gearbox, the axles are the original military ones.. here is the problem, I can only go 50-60mph. Other owners of the same engine state they can get 80mph with out to much hassle,but mine starts sounding like shuttle re entry at anything over 50mph! I have the transfer box ratio of 1:410 so its a standard defender one. I intend to upgrade to a 1:211 discovery one to upgrade the top end.. But it still seems odd that the top speed seeme limited.
