  1. Paul, well you know what sheep are like? Alwasy 'Bleating' about something or another! 😁

Look around the site where you found the wheel. There is bound to be another there also. Everyone knows they travel in Pairs!... Wheely, it's true!

I found one of Hitler's Gonads on a Training Area in Sennelager in Germany Once. I made it into a conker you know?

Youll have to excuse me now, I'm just finishing off an Original Copy of one of Hitler's diaries!....😎

Yep, my dog saw it. But since dogs can't talk to humans it telepathically communicated what it saw to some passing aliens that passed the message on to me in a dream. That's all well and good, but I don't have a dog so I suspect a Government conspiracy to silence me, the dog & the aliens... hmmmm.

That's amazing! My Dog Talks to Me all the time, about a spectrum of Topics!

But I take what he tells Me. With a pinch of salt. As  Everyone knows He's a Liar!..... 🤣

That bracket just back from the loop on the front. Has a cross pin, THAT goes through the front mounting Bush on a GPMG (L7A2).

The FRONT Loop is for the 7.62mm l4A4 LMG. (The Old converted Bren gun )

  4. I have just acquired this radio accessory. I think it's some kind of filter?  Can anyone ID It at all?

4 x pin connection, on clansman type screw collar attachment. The NSN is a little indistinct. due to being felt tip applied. It Reads: 5935-99-131-5413.  Serial No: W/1121/17.

It also has two applied decals, one stating INF ONLY. And D-Tested Iraq.  also a Patent Pending decal. So
Im wondering if it was a trials item of radio equipment?

Would like to know what it is, as I may have access to a handful more of them.

  5. The 58 Patt sleeping bag was a DRY CLEAN ONLY item!

The secret of them staying useful is easy! Prior to climbing in, give them a REALLY good shake up! This distributes the down Feathers about & fluffs them up. Thus ensuring good Thermal heat retention. During the day, open them up & lay out in the fresh Air. Flat on a land rover or truck canvas tilt is best. This gives them a good airing, & reduces any smells. Simple really! 👍

can this be done? anyone done it?

    thanks

Yes easily. I have done this many times when i was serving as a VM. Before I remustered as an Armourer.  The only real common sense thing to do before starting the job. Is ensure the Steering box is cold! & have plenty of locking wire to secure all the bolt heads upon completion!

The adjustment of the bands is easy also. To check for CORRECT adjustment. The guide we AWAYS used was: Look at the cut out in the interior tan padding. Where the tiller levers sit in the forward position. unlocked. The tips of your fingers against the hull in this cut out. & pull a tiller back alongside your left hand uppermost. Adjust the squared headed adjuster on the steering box. Until the lever is alongside the base of your thumb. Tighten adjuster locking nuts. When adjustment is correct!

  7. When you say 'Tailgate' on a Command car. Do you mean Boot ( Trunk ) Lid?

Hood frame? Would you NOT be able to have the Hood Deployed without one?

If the hood was up, would that not mean the Frame was there?

Or did you mean PART of the hood frame?

Sorry if the questions seem awkward? I'm just trying to clarify things! 👍

  8. Regarding the dodge command Car. I have Always admired the shape of them.

They LOOK to be very comfortable? Can anyone  state what they are like to drive? I have fancied getting one for a  while now. Are there any drawback ( apart form fuel consumption ) to ownership?

I would really like to know!

    Thanks in advance!

    Mike.

  9. At the Last Militaria fair. They had a stall, but were Billy No-Mates!

No One wanted anything to do with them!......Once trust is lost, you never get it back!.....

It would seem that the 'Owner' has a documented history of starting companies. Then closing them down. & opening another under a new Name!.....I wonder why that was?.......😎

  10. A word of advice! If you are using the original carter carb from the Gennie engine.

check inside, the rod that moves inside the main jet on a Gennie carb. IS MUCH LONGER than a Standard metering rod! This acts as a Govenor to prevent over revving! I discovered this back in the eighties, when I fitted a NOS Carter from a Gennie engine. To a standard Willys I owned back then. Started & ran fine, Until you jumped in a drive it! You couldn't get above 2nd gear in it! 😄  Back to the garage & exchanged the metering rod with the one from my original carb. & all was well again! 😉

  11. Adrian, Note also. The Frame cross tube Reinforcement, ONE has a hole. One does not. Not sure if this is an Air hole used when welding originally to allow air pressure to escape? Or its purpose was for a Mudguard? Perhaps taken from other bicycle parts during construction?
