Are you sure? Cent never had 120mm and British 120mm, other than L1 used bag charges. 105mm?

Yep 105 a necked case, is indeed Centurion. Mine is also stencilled 105mm BLANK.

I have just checked my 'Stick Stand' in the hallway. It is a PARALELL sided case of 155mm Diameter! Please accept my Embarrassed  Appologies! I had forgotten that I had changed cases!

    I have a good Excuse: I am Terminally Confused!....😁

Yes, might do that, though will need to remove the detonator tube inside, and put something around the lip.

I never bothered. The sticks & Umbrellas go in and Stow OK. No need to do anything TBH.

I polished them. They did have some handwritten black felt tip writing on them but hard to make out. I have heard that shells like these have been used as ashtrays at a British Legion club. Could be they were put into storage once smoking inside was banned.

If You polish them, Then clear lacquer them as well. you wont have to Polish them again! 👍

Postie delivered a box containing a cup, saucer and plate which my wife won in a competition, they are all marked 'The Platinum Jubbly of Queen Elizabeth II'. Apparently the entire batch of over ten thousand were printed incorrectly in China.

Defo a 'Lubbley, Jubbley' there then Mike! 😄

I did get an email from the organization it was cancelled, even though I didn't buy tickets (yet) this- or last year.

If you are on thier mailing list. Or have ordered tickets previously. You will receive a notification email that the show was cancelled.

A LOT of People will also notice. NO emails have been set out Freely offering a refund, if you have paid. & the show was cancelled!....

  7. yes you MUST let it warm up completely, & then pump to pressurise.

You need to aim for a BLUE roaring flame! Not a weak long yellow flame!

If you have a jet pricker use it before hand. If not, a SINGLE strand from a steel wire brush will do the same job.

Many thanks, I noticed the diagrams above don't have the cup shape item as attached picture, any clues?

I have used many times in Service myself as an Armourer. & still do sometimes on the Bench. i have never seen that little 'shield' on any issue blowlamps? These lamps are very simple to use. Fill with PARAFIN & unscrew the small valve on the filler cap. Pour METHELATED SPIRITS into the circular 'Dip' on the top of the lamp. Light the meths & wait. You will soon hear it hiss & bubble as the Parafin is drawn up the tube. When this happens after a few seconds of waiting with the hissing Etc. CLOSE the screwed valve. & apply a FEW pumps to the pump handle. You will hear it begin splutter & a blue flame will try to exit the muzzle. Keep it like this for appox 20 seconds & then PUMP AWAY FREELY as you like! The flame will become hotter, louder & roar! You are ready to use it! When finished, unscrew the valve to exhaust the pressure in the tank. let it cool completely. close the valve & stow away safely!

I can't argue with most that is being said. But I wonder who this new rich person will be, who will stump up maybe £4K- £5K and then invite people in free?

If you KNOW what your doing. Then it is called an Investment!........😁

He is waiting in the wings somewhere!...However, He wont be inviting 'People' in for Free! He WILL, However. Be inviting Exhibitor's & Reenactor's in for Free. For the Show to Succeed!....Otherwise, as Has been recently 'Discovered'...... The show would fail!........NEED NOT GREED!....

    How stunning eh?

I hope folk get their money back and I hope large convoys on ferries can be cancelled.

    Alec.

I wouldnt be placing any Bet's at Ladbrooks on that one Alec!.....😲

  12. This Show is far too big to let it fade into History & memories! Yes, the present 'Owner' is indeed, a VERY Hard Bussiness man. & that has been His undoing!....

Dont Fret too much good people! Due to the above, There WILL be another Genuine enthusiast who will step up. & start again with an attitude that is similar to. The way this show was run originally!... Yes it WILL be a Money making Process of course. It could not happen otherwise! But, To get it up & running & established with a similar Reputation of Old. Exhibitors & Reenactors will not be charged for entering thier pride & joys to that show!

As has been stated previously by Myself. & Others MANY Times. 'Without US, you wouldnt have a Show'!...& THAT will be recognised by the new 'Saviour' who takes up the Baton with a new Attitude towards Establishing The Beltring Expirience. Of those Halcyon Days we all loved & Remember with Fondness!....

ONLY with that 'Formula' with it get People back on side & supporting. What was once a World Wide Attraction to a vast amount of Enthusiasts & the public!....

Well been going for a good number of years the last few years the show has steadily declined. Sorry for those that have paid already. But I think overall it’s probably best it ends.

Yes, ends with the PRESENT 'Owners'. But will be pleased to see it 'revived' by someone else. who actually Understands These shows. & actually LISTENS to exhibitors & Reenactor's!....

I wonder if the real reason is that many people balked at the price rise and attendance was so reduced that it wasn't worth doing? I also wonder where this leaves those who were deferred from 20 and 21?

It will leave them if they are QUICK. at the small claims court. As the website states no refunds if cancelled I Believe?......

  15. Just reminiscing over the W&P site's of old. I had an idea, if someone on here is actually attending this year. It would be nice to see some drone Footage over the site we all know from past attendances.  I for one, Always enjoyed the greenery all over & round the Beltring Land site. I am guessing that this year, there will be a LOT more greenery to see round the show site!....

I see from a post on the W+P site, they are due to attend some of the commemorative events in Normandy next month- might be worth putting forward the concerns of the mv community direct to them there. Unfortunately I’m not able to go😩

Do you think 'They' will listen?.....

I once expressed concerns from Exhibitors about being charged for the show. & stated quite truthfully, 'Without US, you wouldnt have a show'....

His reply was: 'Without ME, you wouldnt have a show'! I felt the arrogance to be repugnant!.....

I've  had this happen to me. In my case it was the oil pick up pipe in the sump. Air was being sucked in at the pivot of the pick up. On speaking to other jeep owners they advised slightly overfilling the sump oil got around the issue. Thd proper solution was a new pick up, but then they weren't readily available, not sure about these days?

Or if pushed. Remove sump pan to gain access to pick up pipe. Remove pipe & the pin hole, or split.   Could then be repaired by brazing. Dosent have to be a neat job, as it wont be seen inside the engine!

  18. After WWA have finally ceased trading. It will be a Sad Day for the collecting community.

I dont know of any other Company that had the global contacts Les did! To that end, there will be few new interesting Arms imported into GB after they close thier doors!

D&B I feel will corner the lions share of Market. & What remains for sale, prices will increase accordingly!..

If there is little competion, there will be little available to collectors. At affordable prices. & the Hobby may well slowly grind to a halt sadly. ☹️
