  1. I second that last statement by Ray, it is the least I can do to show my support for all our military personal past and present Commander

A local pub in Cheadle Staffs "The Master Potter" is holding a Help for Heroes day on this coming Saturday they are asking for military vehicles any era and personal in any period uniform the landlord is an ex service man all are welcome with free tea and coffee and biscuits provided set up from 10.30 am till dusk weather permitting depending on support it might be Sunday as well there seems to be local support from other groups attending Commander
  3. I have just got back from Malvern setting up for Sunday it looks good they say at is a sell out for dealers Commander

  13. As Ray has said this is a Dutch group run site but only British marked vehicles and uniforms are worn there is any where between 150 to 250 people on site it is very well run and worth visiting if in the area Commander

I had a similar problem with a Hotchkiss and it was the small springs on the advance and retard had come adrift in the distibutor allowing the cam to flop around to check is simple just take the dissy top off grip the cam between your thumb and finger and see if it springs back when you twist it Commander
  16. I agree it is anoying having to camp in the overflow field with exhibits when there is still empty plots fenced off or plots with just tents or caravans on them Commander
  17. I have just tried to tax my Dodge on line and it got knocked back for not having an MOT there was no option to declare exempt so it looks like down the Post Office in the morning Commander

  20. I will get some close up photos done this weekend. This has been in the same location for the last 30 years that I know about but it was always "not for sale sorry" so when I heard that it was going to to come up for auction I went around to try to buy it before the sale but was told it had to go to auction even though a figure more than twice the eventual auction selling price was discussed in fact I was very surprised myself when only one other person was bidding for it Commander

I measured the bore diameter today it is 10 inches or 255 mm if your into metric across the bore we found a year date of 1916 stamped on it as well got the beast elevating up and down by the afternoon today still a bit tight though going to have a go at getting it traversing tomorrow work permitting as a bit of interest I have had 3 offers to buy it already Commander
