  1. Did they make many turretless Fox's and did they all look like that?
  2. To answer your question Snapper A: Not much, only to try and get rid off a massive C0ck-up e.g. we helped put him in power and now British soldiers (and others) have/are paying the price for that.
  3. Only prob I get is the gallery, it just keeps saying its forbidden.
  4. Got speaking to a chap at the local 1940's do at Upwood from the East of England Tank museum living history group who drives one of there Bren Carriers said that if its under 4 tons then its ok to drive on the road.
  5. I know of a situation (still on going), where someone had a blackout and on several occasions has asked their specialists/doctors when should they send their driving licence off to the DVLA only for them to suggest not to do so for the following reasons: Its not uncommon for them to be sent back missing bits like Bike licence etc, to eventually be returned 3 months later than they should. And my favorite "until we(Docs) know what caused the blackout theres no point in sending it because they (DVLA) don't like it when we (Docs) don't know what caused it and they(DVLA) start sending us (Docs) letters". Now this person had their appointment recently to discover what the cause was and ask again when to send the licence off and the Spec "said what you could do is send it or because we still don't know what caused it just keep it and not drive as they'll only send it back to you in 6 months once the year from blackout is up, also unless you send it to them they won't ever know, but if you do blackout again within the next 6 months you'll have to send it back." So it seems not even people employed by the government like what the DVLA does to people and their livelyhoods.
  6. Thanks, just what I'm looking for.
  7. Does anyone know if there is such a group?
  8. Thanks Clive, you've been more than helpfull and thats much appreciated. The vehicle in question is a different example to Blanchards and quite a distance thats why I'm trying to get as much info as poss, as there are people (a minority) who will say/do things to get a sale. Thanks again.
  9. Clive, Ive just found this: Series I SAS 43BR70, the vehicle from the first pic you posted/2nd pic I posted up for sale at PA Blanchards. Also Ive found pics of 4 examples and have seen 2 other examples previously, I haven't received the registration/chassis/etc details yet, would these tell me if its a genuine example?
  10. This is the only written/in service pics/stuff I could find on them, from an old copy of Wheels&Tracks. Also did any see action at all? http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/4641/crop1ib9.th.jpg[/img] http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/3427/crop2ct2.th.jpg[/img]
  11. Thanks Clive, so would/did any other regiment/squadron have used/made these? The chap told me today that the vehicle in question is one of 3 made, from the pics it differs only slightly in that it has more radio gear and thats about it. I'll get the Registration of the vehicle tomorrow. Also what would something like it be worth in road worthy condition/complete etc? Thanks.
  12. So would the SRS have used Series2/2a when active and not Series 1 types, also would any other Regiments/squadrons have used this type of vehicle? The vehicle in question is a 1956 build
  13. Yep me too, rather annoying.
  14. Hi Neil, no SRS sounds about right from what I was told, a chap with one of the said vehicles said that the vehicle was in service with SAS/SRS but is not sure which due to the lack of traceable history available. The vehicle it self confirms this, but any pics/info on this type would possibly help to ascertain which Reg it originates from. Also would the FV number FV18006 be correct for this type? This is an example: http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/6958/img2131xv4.th.jpg[/img]
  15. I'm going on what someone told me, what does SRS stand for? any info would be great.
  16. Has anyone got any pics or info on these? Thanks.
  17. Not got much further, tho the hubs, wheels and new tyres have been reassembled and the electrical systems have been checked over. It should have been finished and already, so now the target is pre June.
  18. I got a plug, tried it and the Mag packed up, removed it fixed it and realised the Engine needs to be removed to refit it along with the removal of other parts

My McAfee says I have recived a Trojan virus when I visit.
  20. Yes, Ive spent a week visiting all the motorfactors/farm stores etc but with no success and none had any charts either. There are some on Ebay.com but they are ancient and might not survive postage (if they still work).
