  1. i didnt check his speed and i am used to trundling along at 54mph and i didnt have to slow much to come along side him but i am the first to admit i know zip about diamonds but i will sai it sounded more cummings than rolls :nut:
  2. my work took me to port talbot yesterday as was driving my scania past sarn services on the m4 i saw the flashing lights of what i first thaught was a crane however it was in fact a large red van escorting somthing as i looked a head i could see a mint looking diamond t wrecker driving at around 45ish painted in red with what looked like a county fire service crest on the doors the only other markings were transport div underneathe the crest the van escorting it also had the same crest and was a curant fire sevice vehicle the t was running a treat sounded very healthy does anyone know of this one and can it realy still be owned by a south wales council i just wish i could have got pics

  4. cant one of you T.men rescue the diamond T that sits sadly in a yard by the churchbridge island nr oldbury [by j2 m5] it has star autos on its sides and it looks like the engine is in the rear do you know this one:???

  10. hmmm some smashing ideas folks lots to keep me awake :cool2: a bike i realy like the idea but as pointed i would fall off and kill myself. a pig hmmm a goddess yes i do like the old rl bedfords to my shame some years ago i was tasked with robbing twelve or so of them for there jag engines that drove the pump unit the engines were sold in to the clasic car world my rare jeep:confused: well i have got three cj8 jeeps and there would seem to only be one other in the uk and posibly another two in france a cj8 was tested by the US forces but not adopted ther was less than 30.000 built between 1981 and 85 if it works here is a pic [/img]
  11. not wishing to upset any jeep folk but i have already got one of the rarest model of jeep three in fact but alass worth nothing like as much as ww2 jeep they just seem madly dear
  12. i do find it interesting how far some will go to Cary out such a big job to make a clone i would think it was done to capture the flavour on a budget rather than to fool anyone i did see a mahindra at this years war and peace also a rather odd looking h1 hummer thing on a range rover/landrover chasis i to think it would feel wrong to do a replica but then there is the question of trying to restore a basket case at what is it restored rather than a replica with original parts
  13. landys just arnt my thing nor bedfords i have driven almost nothing but jeep dodge and chevy for the last twenty odd years methinks wait till i have more funds and go for somthing a bit more......dont know realy till i see it but a kaiser ambulance might be nice thanks for the input so far very helpfull indeed

  16. i think that may be from france a few years ago 8ish we drove one of our jeeps down to the loire vally area and i am sure it was in a small museum down there there was also an m5 stuart a m8 greyhound and steyer 1500a?

So you think it may have been on a chevy chasis i seemed to think the wheels looked bedford talking of changing chasis there was another film called play dirty with michal cane in it was loosly a desert raider film set in ww2 using a jeep and a two german trucks thjat were by the looks dodges with a makeover a good film but only seen it once on the magic lantern
