SteveR1059
Hello one & all. My name is Steve Routledge & im from Durham. I was in the army for 12yrs which is when i became interested in ex-military vehicles & from then on always wanted to own one. In April this year i bought a run down 1974 Lightweight Portable & have spent almost all my spare time restoring it and am now the very proud owner of a fully working one which...according to my wife...is my first love!!! In my opinion they are neck & neck ;-). Finally i just want to say thank you for having me its good to be here
mike65
Welcome aboard. I have a 109 S3 FFR and a similar problem with the wife. Good to have another Land Rover. If we keep this up we may out number the Jeeps. Got any pics. Mike
airportable
Hi Steve, welcome to the forum. Good man, love the Airportable, off to have a look at another in the morning, asking price seams too good to be true. But worth a look. Great to see a pic or two of the 'Old girl' The Landi I mean. Jessie The Jeep
Hi Steve, I'm in Washington, so not a million miles away! If you want to meet up in the next few weeks, there's an event at the North East Aircraft Museum ( next to Nissan ) on Sept 12th ( for National Heritage day ), and a week later at 'F Pit' museum in Washington on Sept 18th. Watch out for the Black and White Jeep or Dodge and that's where I'll be!
