Swiper
I was musing over buying a Commer Q4 for British WW2 but wasnt sure: I've seen some manuals on eBay for the Q4 dated 1944 - but was told that some people were sure they were not used in ww2. Equally what differences do 1950s Commer Q4s have from 1940s Commer Q4s? And finally what class of liscence is needed to drive a Q4?

The Q4 truck made during WW2 and up until around 1950, was a 4x2 with a 4.1 ltre side valve engine. The Q4 which entered army service in early Fifties, also Civil Defence, was a 4x4 with a later overhead valve engine. Cabs are totally different.
