LeeEnfield Posted November 24, 2007 Share Posted November 24, 2007 france 1940 Right O, so thats the Mk 1*, 1916 shape or Mk 2 (prod from 1938) I've seen these painted in a gloss finish, although 'eggshell', or satin was the norm.........and there are pictures showing that when on active service, a hessian cover was fitted to cut down reflections.
