British Army capture Bourlon Wood, three miles from Cambrai.

(The Cambrai offensive started on 20 nov, withRFC aircraft dropping bombs on known german guns and strongpoints, on a 10 mile front, between the river scarpe and St Quentin. This was the first use of massed tanks. The attack was suscessful, but could not be supported, so ultimatly failed; Over 8,000 german prisoners were captured.)
