ID wanted on Radio handset connector - WRS Electronics radio

Recommended Posts

I'm hoping someone here can help identify this type of radio handset connector, and even better still, let me know if there is somewhere these can still be sourced. This comes from a Rhodesian Army A76 squad radio made by WRS Electronics of Salisbury, Rhodesia in the 1970s. As far as I know, WRS was a commercial radio maker that turned its hand to supplying the army during the period of sanctions. The Rhodesians had a lot of sources for component parts for all manner of equipment required - externally this does look quite like a US connector I've seen on ebay, although the pins are quite different. I think it is less likely that the part was made locally. Intriguingly, the connector has some sort of part code 'HONDA 6113-3'. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on this, I'd be very interested.

Many thanks, Neil
