Adrian Dwyer Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Morning all, I know TM 9-707 is available digitally but some years ago I was given the attached 'original': formerly the property of Dvr John Henry Barnes. A few images below. The word 'Naples' is also written on the cover. All the best. A 1 Quote
Adrian Dwyer Posted August 11, 2023 Author Posted August 11, 2023 In very faint pencil, are the following words: 'Bull's Troop, The Horse'. I stand ready to be corrected but this may be a reference to Royal Horse Artillery? Quote
07BE16 Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 I had spotted that, see link to 'Bulls Troop' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Parachute_Battery_(Bull's_Troop)_Royal_Horse_Artillery Quote

I was concentrating too much on 'The Horse' and thinking I'd heard that in relation to Household Cavalry. Rookie error. Quote
07BE16 Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 I didn't spot the 'The Horse' bit but had a recollection that 'Bull's troop was RHA - got to the same place regardless Quote

Adrian Dwyer Posted July 10, 2024 Author Posted July 10, 2024 Just a quick followup. The 1961 edition of Military Customs, contains the following re: Bull's Troop (in their pre-Half-track days). 1 Quote
