shinglehouse
Wow, I love this! I'm the historian for the 284th and have several photos of their compressor trucks, you can find them in the photo galleries of the various companies at: 284thcombatengineers.com On the 284th's website, in the upper right is a search box, if you search for 'compressor' you'll see a handful of pictures of their trucks. There may be others in the galleries that I just missed or hadn't gotten back to labeling them so they show up in the search.I'm really curious, why did you choose to use the '284th' for your truck?? Thank you and stay well! FREDERIC
Thank you Mikel first of all I'm really sorry for my late reply. Why did I choose the 284 th for my truck? A few months ago I registered on Face Book and I discovered the page of the 284 th (https://www.facebook.com/284thcombatengineers ) I saw all the photos available there were several photos of the GMC LEROY and that is what allowed me to make the markings of the truck without making any error Finally I hope !! shinglehouse
No worries, we are all VERY busy these days! Oh, that is great! I'm so glad that you found the photos helpful! I run the Facebook page and maintain the main 284th website. You did a great job, I love it!
FREDERIC
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. Especially coming from you, we can say that my observations on the photos found on the 284 th page were very useful! I think I will have to add this on the fender : What color do you think this square plate with the letter was? I THINK that it was white with a Black C - I can ask the boys that are still with us but I suspect that they won't remember.

shinglehouse
Do they not produce / sell those models anymore? I was thinking of getting a couple to copy what you did and send to the families of the guys in the photos that you've been using.
