Brian COOK
Just need the help of a member that was actually "issued" with a 60 Pattern Combat in "OD" smocks way back in the 60's! Despite their collectability these days, there is little information today on their abilities at keeping rain and water out! I do know from my experience with being issued one, when wet they suddenly weigh 3 times as much, but never got a response from the Quartermaster in supply if these smocks were ever treated with a water proofing agent? Mine was "re-issue", so never knew what it was like new. Just like to treat it so it can handle this Tasmanian wet weather. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Tony B
Nikwax products. Great for all materials , either natural or man made. They could also advise you on specific use. I've used thier stuff foryears, always worked for me. https://www.nikwax.com/en-gb/?f=
