paul connor
Hi guys, Can anyone offer advise on the removal of the ignition ON/OFF switch? It appears to have a recess in the top and the bottom, which doesn't contain screws, or appear to have sprung lugs? What is the removal procedure, as I don't want to damage it by forcing it. It's probably something simple, so I thought it's best to ask before you break! Cheers Paul http://thumbs3.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/pict/301836722375_1.jpg I can't upload pictures for some odd reason, so hopefully this link works. It's the same switch from what I can see. TooTallMike
Hi Paul, Hold the body of the switch behind the dash. Undo the bezel anticlockwise using a pair of water pump pliers and a rag to protect the paint. The switch itself comes out from behind the dash with wiring still attached. Be careful not to earth the live terminal against anything as you bring it out. - MG
paul connor
Thanks Mike, So the two small lug-holes on the top/bottom have no function on the bezel? Simple grip and rotate on a retaining thread? OK. Will give that a bash - Didn't want to ruin it!

Pliers and a rag always work fine. - MG
