gary0003 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 My R/Enfield WD/CO seems to be running too rich at about 1/2 - 3/4 throttle opening as the plug "soots" up after about 20 minutes. Should I adjust the needle up/down or the pilot screw please? Thanks.(The choke is fully open)! Quote
SovereignZuul Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Needle down should be less fuel/more restricted needle jet. The size of the main jet usually affects top end throttle, do you have a standard size main jet or a bigger one? Make sure your pilot screw is all the way in and then back it out 1-1/2 turn maybe. Make sure not to force it but just seat it all the way it goes and then back off. Could have either backed out or set wrong. Pilot screw usually affects the low rpm running, not so much the high. It's probably not this. I'm no expert, just giving advice (until someone more knowledgeable comes to aid) on what I'd do/check. Quote
