Enigma
I have this one. I assumed its dated 1978 by looking at the code or am I wrong. There also used to be a seperate badge next to the wing, any idea what it could have been? What could the value be?

Scotch Harry
No idea about the other/missing badge but the 78 is not the date code. The CT4B will give you an indication of its age------ http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?48996-Using-labels-and-markings-to-date-postwar-British-clothing-and-equipment

Edward53
This beret dates from about 1970. It's pretty clear if you look at the thread linked to in Post 4.
Enigma
Ok, thanks. I only looked at the CT4B code in the first page of the link. Now I look at the A/78 code it indeed points to the 70's. Why can't they just have printed a date?:nut: Edited January 22, 2016 by Enigma
Edward53
Even with that extra hole (I too have no idea what badge it's for) that is still a nice beret and in my opinion worth in excess of £50. 70s para berets are extremely scarce: I have seen just two on ebay in the last couple of years.
