DonkeyWalloper
"Hello I'm Mike and I'm an AFV addict." Back in the 1970s/80s I served in the Territorial Army on Ferret, Saladin and Saracen in a Yeomanry armoured reconnaissance regiment. We were regularly absed by our REME colleagues as "DonkeyWallopers". I was also trained at Lulworth and Bovington on the FV721 Fox armoured car. My trained was as a B1 driver/mechanic, radio operator and gunnery instructor (30mm RARDEN cannon and 7.62mm GPMG).

robin craig
Welcome Mike, we too are addicts, some of us choose to admit it also. Did you have a camera with you in those days? Maybe some pictures to share with us? R
DonkeyWalloper
Yes I did take some photos. The quality is poor. I have a folder on DropBox of pictures containing Fox armoured cars. If you are interested I will happily share the link with your e-mail address. Cheers Mike
robin craig
I manage a Fox and would welcome looking at them myself, but any chance that you can post them to the forum so everyone can see? R
DonkeyWalloper
Yes that is a far better idea. I will figure out how to create an album.
