pop larkin
Can anybody tell me what oil i shoud be putting into the gearbox, transfer box and axles of my Chev? Its all the same running gear as the GMC. Also can anyone recommend a good engine oil. I have used GTX Magnatec in all my cars, but they don't do a classic grade :-(. Degsy
Hi Paul Have a look at Morris Lubricants web site, the straight 30 grade is ideal for the GMC engine so I would expect it to be equally suitable for the Chev. They also do a straight 90 grade, don.t use an EP90 it reacts with Phosphor bronze in the transmission.
pop larkin
Thanks Degsy, will check it out. Yes heard about the EP oil/phosphur bronze problem, hence my search for the proper stuff before I drain them.
Degsy
Paul I have used their products with complete satisfaction in all sorts of plant, machinery and trucks for more years than I care to remember, usual disclaimer.
