toby burnham Posted August 16, 2012 Share Posted August 16, 2012 Just started making a start on my humber pig restoration.On talking to a mate of mine he asked me if humber pigs were ever deployed on the streets of the main land during the troubles.I am sure i have seen a picture of one patroling around the streets of london, trafalger square i think.Has any one got this picture. fv1609 Posted August 16, 2012 Share Posted August 16, 2012 Toby the Met had two Mk 2 Pigs painted dark blue. Only action as far as I know was practising demolishing barricades consisting of piled up chairs in the waste ground where they built that dome thing. They have long since got rid of them. One went to a collector in Scotland. There was a Mk 1 commandeered from a private owner for use in the Balcombe Street siege. I have posted a picture of that previously.
