matadormike
Hi Everyone, My name's Mike and I own a 1950 AEC Matador Timber Tractor which I'm hoping to make a start restoring this year. I've had an occasional browse on this forum before and decided to bite the bullet and join, especially since I'd like something CVR(T) based in the not too distant future. :cool2: As I'm sure many of you will appreciate a fair few family members think I'm nuts, and maybe they're right :nut: but why blend in? Plenty of people I work with like flash cars, and whilst they are nice, you can't use them to their full potential on a road, (well legally anyhow) its also a lot of fun winching 30ft trees up a hill! Cheers, Mike

matadormike
Welcome aboard, restoration pictures are compulsory. Can't wait to see them P.S. It doesn't have to be green Hi, I have posted a photo taken not long after it arrived in the 'matador gallery' http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?7083-Matador-Gallery&p=299210#post299210 It is very much 'not green'... My intention is that since it isn't ex WW2 it will remain a timber tractor (and blue) I'm fairly sure it was an RAF matador based on the year, although what sort of body it will have had I don't know, probably a flatbed though. P.S. liking the militant.... Cheers Mike Edited February 10, 2012 by matadormike
