steampunk
Hello everyone. I'm Steampunk. Lifelong bike nut, progressed onto Landrovers and now looking for a pre 1960 4X4 ex-army truck to see the world from. Joined to discover a wealth of information about the various models available before taking the plunge and buying. Any advice, particulary regarding Bedford RL's and Green goddess's and diesel engine options would be very welcome. In return I can offer twenty years experience in the motorcycle trade, not especially military but most brands. Not great with computers but I've made it this far!! Stay cool. Zero-Five-Two
Well, you've got the right idea so far. Pre 1960 trucks generally mean big and slow so you might as well go for it and have something really big like a Scammell or Militant Welcome aboard and best of luck with whatever you get
Duncan76
Welcome! I've just taken the plunge (in the last month) and bought a Green Goddess though no plans to convert to diesel. Never had anything much bigger than Land Rovers really so all a voyage of discovery! I have started a thread on here which also links to my progress blog: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?27424-PGW-326-Bedford-Green-Goddess Can I also recommend RSOLES - wealth of info on there and many that know more than me - mostly Green Goddess but a fair few ex-AFS RLs on there too..... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rsoles/ Any queries - give me a shout or PM! Cheers, Duncan.
