  1. What monstrosity would this be then? I would love to get to drive/control the thing you described here. Cheers, Dennis
  2. Thank you for the compliment. I requested and got one set of generic drawings with dimensions from Daimler Benz. All the rest of the details come from pictures I found digging the internet. And I tend to get lost in the details. Although nothing can be seen of it, unless you turn the model up side down, there is a complete(ly) detailed suspension and drive train underneath, accurate upto every nut and bolt. If I ever get the chance to make a Dennis truck, I know where to run to ;0) Cheers, Dennis
  3. Hi Tim and Rick, thank you for your very prompt replies. Sprags it is then. I did figure out by the construction, shape and position of them, what they would be used for and how. But I just could not find the proper name for them. It is a German Daimler Marienfelde truck. I have done the 3D design work for a 1/32nd scale construction kit of it. For the partslist in the instructions I needed the name of the "pointy sticks" the kit is produced and sold by Aviattic. http://www.aviattic.co.uk/news.html http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=58490 By the way, Tim. I was intrigued by your Dennis restauration. Wonderful reading- and watching-stuff. Made my fingers itch. Bu then it also might be a name thing. thank you both very much, Dennis Loep
  4. Can anybody please tell me what would the pointy sticks (Pointed out by the red arrow in the attached PDF) would be called in English. Unfortunately I can only provide a PDF file of it. Thank you very much in advance. Dennis Loep Marienflde Mistery Part.pdf
  5. Hello All, I am desperately looking for (some one to supply me with) the dimensions of a single track link of the T54E1 tracks as used on shermans in WWII. Preferably also dimensions of the paddle style EEC. (Extended End Connectors) Thank you very much for all help. Cheers, Dennis
  6. Hi, A bit late for the meeting, but for the right fluids you could contact Kroon-Oil in Almelo, The Netherlands. http://www.kroon-oil.com/nl/contact/ I used to work there at the technical department and I know they have lots of original factory info going back to the early 60's. may be even from that Leyland DAF. Good Luck, Dennis Loep
  7. Hello all, I have asked this in the American vehicles section before, but unfortunately got no answer. Maybe I can get an answer here. Is there anybody out there that can (and want's to) help me with some measurements for the running gear of a Cletrac M2. I'm looking for the measurements as in the attached drawing. If so, and if you can provide me with more info like this in the near future, please contact me at info@peolini-design.com. Thank you. Wheelsetting.pdf

  9. Hi barry, thats a shame. I could really have used some solid info on this. Nevertheless thank you for letting me know. I have conacted Bovington and will see what comes out. Living in the Netherlands, dropping by is not a real option. I know of the Resicast kit and Roden has also issued one in plain plastic (should also be rather good), but both are in 1/35th scale. My kit will be in 1/48th. But maybe one kit could be a good basis for another. Cheers, Dennis
  10. Hi, Thanks for the heads up. I've contacted Bovington and now I'll have to wait what comes back. My first thought was to go for the 1914 pattern, with the military modellers in mind. If my (until now not too deep) research proves me right, the difference between the '14 and '20 pattern concerns mainly the wheels and probably some minor details. (ANYONE???????) So 1 kit which will allow for building one OR the other versions would be a possibility I guess. Dennis
  11. Baz, Would you mind sharing some measurements of the RR armoured car. I have been searching a long time for (relatively accurate) drawings/sketches with measurements for modelling purposes as I am designing a 1/48th scale kit of this wheeled wonder. Thank you for any reply, Dennis
