ferrettkitt
What are the correct size and type of bolts to hold a NATO hitch on? :??? 14 mm I have the bolts in front off me but I can't find a single ruler or tape measure to confirm the length and diameter
ArtistsRifles
I think it's 5" long x 5/8" dia BSF mate. (No prizes for guessing why I've just had to look that one up recently...) Edited August 20, 2011 by ArtistsRifles
Tony B
Daft isn't it? I've been sticking them on vehicles for years with whatever HT bolts fit. Then someone asked me yesterday, 'Which exact bolts and nuts do I need to buy? :nut:
Rangie
Surely the length depends on the vehicle you are going to attach it to....... :nut: I know, i know, don't call you Surely The small ones, landie type etc uses 9/16" bolts, and the mahoosive lorry type ones are 5/8" Found out the hard way, a large one looks largely the same in a fleabay pic as a small one, but most definatley does not bolt to the front bumper of a Landie..... :nut: Well, i suppose it could...... That said, I wouldn't use anything less than 8.8 strength bolts (5-strokes imperial) Alec. Tony B
Yeah they come in 7.5 ton and 22 ton, I was stupid enough to let a 22 ton one go. :banghead: I made a plate to fit it to a ladder hitch. That fits a Landy!
