Tried the gears today when i moved it all seams to engage ok.first gear selected 4wd ok .What position is the 4wd lever in when you are traveling in rear wheel drive.Started ok but the engine cuts out and will not restart.Problem with the fuel pump petrol getting by the diaphram and thining the oil down. Also fuel tanks dirty.Plan of action:

1.Remove fuel pump and repair

2.replace engine oil and filter.

3.clean out pipe from filter to carb

4.Remove fuel filter and clean out

5.Refit filter and connect pipe from filter to carb.Reit a spare bango to filter inlet and run a pipe from a jerry can to get the engine running.

Is there a fuel switch over tap fitted or does the fuel pull from both tanks

Are there fuel senders in both tanks.

Will add some pictures latter this week

Hi Toby , the fuel tank switch over tap is under the drivers seat ! :D There is a sender in each tank and when you turn the tap it should read the level from the selected tank on the gauge !

When in two wheel drive the selecter lever should be in the forward position mate ! Normally it pops out automatically when you change to second gear if the mechanism is free and not seized ! Hope that helps !:D
