steve ryan Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Saturday 16/9/2006 - Sunday 17/9/2006 70th anniversary of the Spitfire at RAF Museum In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Spitfires first public appearance at the Hendon pageant in 1936, we will (weather permitting)be displaying a MK 16 Spitfire outside the museum at the centre of a living history display. There will also be talks on the Spitfire, 1944 army camp with static displays and the chance to see the famous Supermarine S6 which will be on show for a limited period along with the museums other historic Spitfire historic aircraft. We are seeking WW2 Reenactors and WW2 period vehicles to attend - Please enquire for a registration form prior to the event. steve ryan Posted September 10, 2006 Author Posted September 10, 2006 yes it is a bit late, i just cut and past it from millweb, we will go with 2 jeeps if it helps them(just static) on the sunday I know the jeep are a bit late for this, it would be nice to have a Morris Light Reconnaissance Car Lewis is a good egg,and at the last event we went to at hendon,he and his mates put on a fantastic diorama,with no funding from hendon steve Quote
