AlienFTM
I've got some spare orange paint if there are any takers? A few years ago I remember seeing a picture of a modelling project. A guy had taken a (Tamiya 1/25th?) Tiger 1E, stuck Tony the Tiger in the commander's position and painted it orange with tiger stripes. Sadly a quick web search reveals nothing so I doubt those who haven't seen it will believe me. It this where your orange paint is left over from? ;o)

Jessie The Jeep
I saw that pic long before I painted mine. Flying Control vehicles were painted all sorts of bright colours. I've seen B&W, red and white, olive and yellow, yellow, orange, and black and yellow! I guess it was what they had spare and available that would make the vehicle noticable.
