Joris
Found a fantastic website on the Gallipoli campaign with tons of maps and other information. One of the places I've added to the list of things I have to see with my own eyes. http://www.awm.gov.au/exhibitions/gmaps/ The Australian War Memorial holds over 300 maps from the Gallipoli campaign. The collection includes maps used at the landing of Australian and New Zealand forces at ANZAC Cove on 25 April 1915, Turkish maps made during and immediately after the campaign, trench maps, operational maps, artillery maps, and ANZAC cemetery plans. Displayed here is a small portion of the Memorial’s Gallipoli map collection. Each map has an interesting story behind it.
