markbg Posted April 12, 2010 Share Posted April 12, 2010 Hi Im just sorting out a few things on my FOX but Ive looked at the manuals and I dont really understand some of the oils to use - can anyone help? Viscous coupling? Engine oil? theres also an aluminium box behind and to the right of the driver - it has oil in it but im not sure whats its for or what i need to put in it? as usual thanks for helping an utter muppet as I shouls know this by now! Viscous coupling? ISO 10 Hydraulic fluid, Morris Liquimatic no. 1 or equivalent. Engine oil? 10/30 or 10/40 something like that! theres also an aluminium box behind and to the right of the driver - it has oil in it but im not sure whats its for or what i need to put in it? This is the brake oil reservoir, it uses ISO 10 Hydraulic fluid, Morris Liquimatic no. 1 or equivalent. as usual thanks for helping an utter muppet as I shouls know this by now! If you buy the service schedule and user handbook and read them before doing anything it can prevent costly mistakes! Searching for an oil or lubricant on Google usually finds a suitable equivalent.
