Whereabouts Down Under are you? I have been over there a good few times, always on something related to old military vehicles, so know quite a few collectors around the country and seen a few of their collections. The only Austin 6x4 (K6) that I came across there, was a Coles mobile crane version. regards, Richard

The Austin after your comments about the Coles crane version may not be Military as it is much smaller, I will see if I can round up a photo and load it cheers Chester

It would be interesting to see pictures of your vehicles, especially the British ones.

AussieDigger
welcome Chester, you are something of an enthusiast then? Yes passionate about old gear , nothing better than the chase and the retrieve. we have our own 7 ton tilt/slide traytop truck and mate has a tilt semi. we have given up when asked how much we have so we now say 300 tons/ 200vehicles although that is probably inaccurate when you considera Cat 8 R weights 24 ton and a vickers weighs 18ton . Always on the look out to rescue old gear, it would be nothing for me to fire up after work Friday night drive 800 miles o/night to go to a clearing sale or chase down an old relic I had heard of , I met my future father in law at a big swap meet selling a 1928 packard wire wheel, the rest is history. Two young sons and a third on the way
