FWDTEXAS Posted February 11, 2010 Share Posted February 11, 2010 While working on the engine,a Wiskonsin, the magneto and its mounting determent that it is a urly version of the FWD. It is suposed to have a G-3 Stromberg carburator but this one has a Cozette Bte S.G.D.G side-draft carburator on a aluminum manifold. Do any of the scuttle data plates survive? it would be quite unusual for it to have returned from France to the USA, but it is not impossible. I know the G3 was not very good, but i cant imagine the military replacing it with a Cozette. Dont know much about them. Seem to go into racing cars and agricultural machinery. FWDTEXAS Posted February 13, 2010 Author Share Posted February 13, 2010 For now I go with what we have, just found some more pictures of our FWD when it was found in Dallas TX .
