Joris
The location of a temporary WWII cemetery near Son has been marked by a small monument. All soldiers buried here were either repatriated home or reburied at Margraten cemetery. I have a picture somewhere of the cemetery in WWII but I can't find it now. Google maps location of the monument. US Military cemetery Son This road led to the fields where from 1944 till 1949 the American and Allied temporary cemetery was located behind the "Waterhoef" farm. This is where the soldiers rested who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Remember them all! Click on the image for a larger version.
