fadedsun Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Cheiftains, t-55s, centurions, etc. (I've only seen one t-55 in private hands, israeli model in the UK) How's your wallet doing? Quote
paulob1 Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I can sell you a t-55 if you want one, two actually....I am just negotiating the purchase of one of those sp2 122 mm self proplelled guns from Russia nice machine....will float too...unbelievable that.. Quote
Adrian Barrell Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 My wallets ok thanks. Contrary to popular opinion, you don't have to be wealthy to own armour. Mind you, I have had my Sherman for 18 years! Quote
agripper Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Have to admit its not so much the price of the parts as much as how far you have to travel to get them if you can find them and also with some of the parts you pay a premium for the more obscure parts or tools. Still looking for a set of spark plug crows foot extended spanner and also the long spark plug tool. But the biggest cost is always fuel and transport cost. Quote

I want a t-55. I'm getting a ferret soon..the t-55 would be next, once I get my commission. If an illiterate Russian/afghan can maintain it, so can a trained AFV crewman. Quote
fadedsun Posted August 9, 2009 Author Posted August 9, 2009 After watching the beast I had to have one. Or an FV432, scimitar, scorpion, fox or sabre...one of those. Something big and turreted! Quote
agripper Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Bob Grundy had a turreted petrol 432 for £10,000. Quote
