Hallo all enthusiast for British wartime trucks, continue on article about Commer "Beetle", Im owner Commer Q2 30cwt from 1939, to my country go this truck shortly after war by UNNRA help project help for Europe. On doors saving original military number but to this time I dont know wartime story this truck. Hallo all, search info about vehicles army or Royal marines commando unit in second world war? Have only few pictures, with minimum information. one interesting pictures is here- two Bedfords MWD and CMP C-15 4x2 with member RM 30 commando AU, 1943(?), But I dont know what is "Q" on Bed mudguard (left side) and think this vehicles have more markings(not identify). Hi Rippo, chassis have no. MWG(?)55440, in book about military Bedfords is this number build in 1943 i first time thing it was ex- MWC, but rear sprink is MWD ,not strong as in MWC, and with car was wreck wood body with few orig.metal parts and on body was very heavy metal mudguards(!), i think its not original, but is one war time picture MWG with 20mm gun, and this MWG have this special rear mudguards, (MWD is without metal rear mudguards) I dont know, its question, Im with out more info about MWG model, This my second MW was 100% ex -MWC water tank, on chassis is MWC ?????, becouse corrosion regards Tomas

Hi Simon, you know in central Europe is problem search parts for British war time vehicles, here is all in metrick dimension and german and russian. Send picture my first MW, first day in 1995, it was wreck, but you see in detail orig. white star on door, army number, red HQ coy, and on mudguards "51" first tank battalion and Czech lion badge- badge CIABG -Czechoslovak independent armoured brigade group this car landing in second valve in Normandy. last picture is identical car may 2008, celebration end of war Pilsen town (I little change unit, for my re-enacment group on "A"coy, motorbattalion) good work on yours MWD! thank you Andy for nice message! You know I live in central Europe and here its not easy search parts for british vehicles, here only russian or germans. I have this two MWD and now MWC and next one from Poland, (its in very poor condition,) and I pay in England one wreck MWD (mr.Potterton from Boston) moneys is in Potterton pocket, but I never see this MW!Poor man! This my first MWD (have over 10years) stay here after war, after service 1944-45 in Czechoslovak independent armoured brigade group, from this time I like MW type truck, This MW from Poland (I dont know chassis numer, its broken maybe MWG(?)) engine, radiator, gearox etc. was from russian GAZ(!) Cab was from OY(!), wood body from Hungarian truck, I have project make full reconstruction to early type MWD "fly screen" And this MWC want make to as water tank, beacouse this water tank equipment is wery good and orig. condition(!), for MW collection, think, is nice item. thank you for offer for help, Tomas

Hallo for all enthusiast Bedford MW, from yesterday Im happy owner MWC from Portugal, is in very orig. condidion, please see on my pages www.fotoalbum.eu/higgins but many years was outside- in forest, all wood parts is out, few tins in cab is out or missing, now search deails info and war time pictures MWC, and missing parts, Under chassis numer is build in 1945, in last few hundrets from 65000 MW trucks. thanks for help Tomas
