Yes really nice site, hoping for a good turnout as it seems that the Royal British legion are expecting a poor turnout!, The 25 pounder was a shock for me as well didnt expect to see it there when i walked around the corner!

When i was dealing in bits of Military surplus we used to buy them as swedish cam nets , they are very heavy but very well made

I would be up for recreating some radio chatter , i'm ex 7para RHA before that i was with 39 regt RA and was a signaller for both regts so can send down fire missions and sound very slick!

I was quite lucky in the fact that my Ferret had been restored before i brought it , but always fancy restoring one from the ground up, i do know of one quite local to me that has been stood in a garage for the last 20 years and just left ,been around numerous times trying to buy it but the owner does'nt want to sell......madness just to let it sit there!.........anyway look forward to your posts!!

Hi all just thought i would post up a new military vehicle show that the Oswestry British legion branch along with the Powys and Mid Wales MVT are organising, the dates are june 30th and 1st July 2012 all vehicle entrys will be threw myself and so far a road run has been organised for the saturday evening. Looking at the pics this has been made up , worked with Gurkhas and never saw a dpm Sheath, they were always leather

Well finally i have got what i wanted, a BV206 , have been searching for the right one at the right price for some time now, so now comes the fun of road registering it!, will post up some pics this evening after i have finished jet washing it off.............bring on the snow!!

Ok will try that, i have taken the cover off and it has got a circuit board with all different diodes ,no obvious signs of anything gone wrong.

Have taken the grey box off today and it is a "Bosch" unit with the nos 0 227 100 040 on it , we put a gizmo that did a direct feed from the battery to the distributor and it fired up so this unit seems to be at fault , anyone got any ideas?

Hi all, have just purchased a BV206 (petrol version) which has'nt been started for 12 months , before i went to pick it up the guy said the batteries needed charging and so would do this before i went to do the deal , went up and was shown how to start it , turns over but wont start , following day went up to check it over , found that there is no power going to the coil, so called Leavesleys who had sold it to the guy i was buying it off to pick there brains and was told that there was a grey box on the inside off the engine bay (lucas part) that the power for the coil comes from ,he seemed to think that it had gone, new price .....£1200, but he had some second hand ones for ....£350!!, before the chap i,m buying it from goes to the exspense of buying one is there any way to check this box or does anyone know of a Bv being broken , or thirdly Anyone know if this box was fitted to any other vehicle.....
