  1. Hi Jack, the word has it that the engine of the tiger tank was sent to a company in kent. They have carried out what ever work was required to get it running properly. It has now ben refitted and is ready to run at this years Tankfest. The origin of this info could not gaurentee its authenticity even though it came from high up in the museum management team. The Tankfest is to (hopefully) become a annual event. These will be themed events (vehicle wise) i.e. U.S, one year then British, then German thats all i know at present. Ashley
  2. Hi all, due to a refit in Kent the Tiger tank will[/ run at Tankfest this year :-) but may be others can confirm this (if they are allowed ?) Also the event will become an annual one with themes i.e. next year the theme wil be American vehicles, then British ,then german. Looks like the museum is to promote its self more :-) hope this info is true as the week end is drawing near Ashley
  3. Hi ghasp, would this be a german six wheeled armoured car ? Ashley
  4. Hi Jack, all systems still go for the Tankfest, just hoping that the god weather returns. The show at Canford arena was pretty quiet on the Saturday i reckon most folks went to the beach 8-), but it picked up on the Sunday. Steve the Bedford if i remember is a 1942 (800 ?) gallon fuel bowser and has been restored to near mint condition. A good plus point for this show is that it is only about 1 1/2 miles max from me front door the non stop keyless organ (still humming the tunes in my sleep) was a bit boring after the first couple of hours but there again met new and old friends, took in some sunrays, chilled out, family got in for free what else could you ask for ! Ashley
