  2. On my last visit to Falaise at the Trun scrap yard the `fence line` was partially made up of these types of wooden/composite material cabs, also among-st other items a complete Opel Maultier (half tracked truck) and a large stack of 88 MM barrels.

  4. Nothing new.

The Dutch civilians used wooden tyres on their bicycles in late WW2..

Due to rubber shortage and to discourage the Germans of nicked the bikes...

  5. steep and I'm not sure about that yellow shrub - I'm not familiar with these kind of bushes in the Kennet Valley locale. Do you know what type of shrub that is Jack?.

Clive though the picture is fuzzy the yellow shrub appears to be common gorse.

  6. I thought that these had been illegal for some years mainly due to the fact that they do not really reflect the `flash` given off by speed cameras for all those naughty speeders :nono::nono: :n00b:

That is the act of fitting and using them on the public highway not the actual manufacture or selling of these items.

  9. Ashley,

That photo is taken outside Pearsons in Liverpool. They de-crated and assembled vehicles for US and British government during the war and overhauled vehicles. The photo has been discussed along with others, on Maple Leaf Up forum in the past, it shows a whole range of different vehicles there and might have been a posed shot.

    Cheers for the info Richard.
